Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Dunscroft
Salary Range: £95 -£120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

If so, GSL Education are delighted to invite a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic and nurturing school community in Dunscroft. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work with pupils who display challenging behaviours and social, emotional, or mental health needs. Your role will centre on building trust, encouraging positive attitudes, and guiding students to develop strategies that support their growth and learning in school and beyond.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural challenges, promoting positive engagement.
* Assist in the creation and delivery of personalised behaviour plans in collaboration with teaching and SEN staff.
* Support classroom teachers to maintain a constructive learning environment by implementing effective behaviour strategies.
* Act as a positive role model, encouraging respectful interactions and resilience.
* Help pupils build social and emotional skills through tailored interventions and activities.
* Monitor, track, and report on student progress to inform future planning and support.
* Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
Job Requirements:
* Prior experience working with children or young people with behavioural, SEMH, or similar additional needs.
* Exceptional patience and emotional resilience, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and trust with pupils.
* Understanding of de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies.
* A compassionate, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting students.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
