Overview
We are looking for an experienced Level 2 Service Desk Engineer, looking for the next step in their career in IT to join our team in Milton Keynes.
You will be familiar with providing 2nd line support to customers, with the opportunity to advance to seniority in your role and a step up in your career. You will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, resolving complex IT issues, and ensuring the seamless operation of their IT environments. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and driving our commitment to excellence.
You are a knowledgeable professional with experience in the technology industry, previously providing support at a 2nd Line level or above. We offer career development and the potential to work at 3rd Line level and above, with learning support including payment for exam passes in areas such as Microsoft or VMware.
Responsibilities
* Provide 2nd line technical support to clients and resolve complex IT issues
* Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and ensure smooth operation of client IT environments
* Take ownership of tickets and follow through to resolution
* Meet targets and adhere to SLAs
* Assist in the progression of technical skills and career development
Skills and qualifications
* Office 365 (including Azure, Intune, SharePoint)
* Server infrastructure
* Networking
* Hypervisors (ESXi and HyperV)
* Server and desktop operating systems
To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with meeting targets, answering all calls, taking ownership of tickets, and problem solving.
Work arrangement
Whilst this is a hybrid role, the successful candidate will be required to be in our Milton Keynes office 5 days a week for the first 6-8 weeks to ensure full support in this role. Thereafter, the hybrid remote policy allows you to work from the office twice a week and three days at home. This is subject to change based on performance.
