It is essential that you come from a Construction background and fully conversant with Construction Industry Scheme and Clawback Schemes - they are flexible to full or part time and will pay up to £65k for the right person. Great team environment with a quickly growing company.
About the Role
We're working with a well-established and growing construction company in South West London that is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant. This is a key role within the finance team, offering flexibility for either full-time or part-time professionals who are looking to make a real impact in a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and year-end financial reports
2. Manage payroll, VAT returns, Construction Industry Scheme submissions, and bank reconciliations
3. Oversee credit control, debtor tracking, and subcontractor payments
4. Maintain financial records using QuickBooks; support transition to Xero or Sage
5. Monitor job costing and ensure timely vehicle-related payments (e.g., MOT, insurance)
6. Supervise accounts payable/receivable and maintain subcontractor databases
What We're Looking For
7. Minimum 5 years' experience as a Management Accountant, ideally in the construction sector
8. Strong knowledge of QuickBooks; experience with Xero and Sage is a plus
9. Excellent organisational and communication skills
10. Confident with IT systems and financial reporting
11. A self-starter with a flexible, hands-on approach
