Our client is a leading global manufacturer in the building products manufacturing industry. They are currently recruiting for a senior mechanical fitter to oversee all maintenance activities on site.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Overseeing a team of mechanical fitters
* Managing contractors
* Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
* Ensure all maintenance plans and documentation is up to date
* Ensure health & Safety standards are met at all times.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Must have at least 3 years experience as a Mechanical Fitter
* Supervisory experience is beneficial
* NEBOSH certificate would be beneficial but can be obtained on the job
* Engineering apprenticeship or similar engineering qualification
* Knowledge of maintenance scheduling
* Strong mechanical fault finding & servicing skills
* Good hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge
* Good time management, problem solving skills and attention to detail
