Help us make a difference as an Operations Supervisor based out of our depot in Darlington.
This role is Monday to Friday working 40 hours per week.
A quick look at the role
We're looking for a hands-on IS Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations and drive continuous improvement across our industrial services projects. You'll supervise a skilled team working in confined spaces with heavy machinery, manage resources, support project delivery, and liaise with key stakeholders. A strong focus on health, safety, and compliance is essential.
Your Core Responsibilities
* Allocate personnel and machinery to jobs, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
* Support creation of SSOW/RAMS, produce quotes, and arrange waste disposals.
* Supervise day-to-day job delivery, ensuring projects meet time and budget targets.
* Coach and develop operatives/drivers to improve performance and professionalism.
* Step in for the Depot Manager as needed on daily job/project matters.
* Visit customers to review service, gather feedback, and explore new opportunities.
* Drive team motivation through regular communication, training, and performance reviews.
* Maintain training records, equipment compliance, and lead on-site safety audits and meetings.
Requirements
Our essential requirements
* Experience operating DISAB equipment
* High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ) experience
* Confined Space - High Risk certification
* Trained in risk assessments
* Previous experience in an industrial cleaning environment
* Strong knowledge of DISAB and HPWJ systems
* Understanding of confined space classifications
