Your Impact
Could you bring your Air Traffic control experience to the Home of British Helicopters? We're looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO) to join the team, based onsite in Yeovil – Somerset.
As part of the wider Flight Operations UK department, you will join a small, dedicated team of professionals who are responsible for managing the safe and efficient movement of aircraft to keep the airfield safe every day.
What you will do as an Air Traffic Control Officer:
* Provide a safe, orderly and expeditious Air traffic Control service in accordance with CAA regulations and local procedures in support of the Leonardo Flight Test program.
* Assist the SATCO with the day to day running of the ATS department.
* Provide expertise to a working level in the relevant CAA & MAA documentation.
The successful applicant will need to maintain a flexible attitude in relation to shift hours and operational requirements, in line with government legislation.
For internal applicants – this position is a JFF level 6.
What you'll bring
* UK CAA approved ATC licence with validated Aerodrome Control Instrument (ADI) and Approach Procedural Control (APP) ratings
* UK CAA Class 3 medical certificate
* English Language proficiency endorsement of level 5 or above
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)
* On Job Training Instructor (OJTI) Endorsement
* Aeronautical Meteorological Observers Certificate
* Previous Military ATCO experience

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
