Service Co-Ordinator Permanent Grade D - £45,091 – £53,460 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week About the Role We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled leader to manage the delivery of repairs, voids and gas services within a defined area of the city. You will oversee contract performance, audit and compliance, drive service improvements, and ensure high-quality and value-for-money outcomes for residents. Managing both internal teams and external contractors, you will ensure that service delivery aligns with Council policy, health & safety standards, and customer priorities. What You’ll Be Doing Lead and manage a team responsible for repairs, voids and gas service delivery and contract monitoring. Monitor contractor performance, ensure compliance with policies, and drive continuous improvement and value for money. Act as Contract Administrator for allocated contracts and support the development of repair service policies and procedures. Manage budgets, financial controls and rechargeable repairs in line with Standing Orders and regulations. Provide technical advice, coordinate tenant engagement activity and collaborate with other repair functions. Implement HR and H&S responsibilities including induction, staff development, performance management, and safety compliance. Deputise for the Contract Team Manager / Senior Service Manager as required. About You You are a strong leader with a solid technical background in housing repairs and contract delivery. You understand how to balance quality, performance, budget control and customer satisfaction. You Will Have: Experience managing and coordinating resources to meet service priorities and targets. Knowledge of repairs, programmed works, voids, disrepair/litigation and engineering services. Ability to manage and influence contractors and consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes. Experience supporting effective resident engagement and translating customer needs into practical solutions. Strong people management skills with the ability to coach, develop and performance-manage staff. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficient use of IT systems including Word and Excel. Experience monitoring budgets and ensuring services are delivered efficiently and compliantly. Why Join Us?
