You will have responsibility for:
- providing strategic and technical leadership across engineering portfolio, ensuring the successful delivery of large and complex capital projects within the UK power and energy infrastructure sector.
The role is responsible for engineering governance, technical assurance, safety in design, resource management, and stakeholder engagement across all projects.
* Ensure that appropriate and competent resources to design projects.
* Identify, manage, and mitigate engineering, quality, and delivery risk
* Provide technical leadership and governance, ensuring project designs comply with Engineering Works Information (EWI), applicable standards, and client requirements.
* Schedule and chair design reviews, design assurance activities, and Design Authority Reviews
* Lead project coordination activities, including chairing meetings with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders (including remote design office).
* Organise and oversee technical workshops and safety reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP and HAZCON
