Job Summary:
We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking Packers to join our team. This is a hands-on role in our food packing and distribution department. You will be responsible for picking, packing, and preparing customer orders with precision and care, ensuring product quality and safety every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pick and pack food products accurately according to customer orders.
* Set up and maintain the packing area at the start and during your shift.
* Familiarise yourself with the full product range to ensure correct item selection.
* Securely package products to prevent damage during transportation.
* Follow all food hygiene regulations and safety procedures (HACCP plan).
* Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace at all times.
* Assist with moving heavy baskets safely using proper manual handling techniques.
* Support your team and supervisor with any additional duties required during the shift.
* Help cover shift gaps caused by sickness, absence, or holidays (within reason).
* Complete business-critical tasks when packing is finished, including:
* Checking orders and paperwork
* Participating in team-building activities
* Other duties as required by the leadership team
* If trained, assist with Shunt Driving: transporting goods from production to the packing warehouse safely and securely.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a packing or warehouse role (preferred but not essential)
* Attention to detail and commitment to product quality
* Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices
* Physically fit – ability to lift/move baskets and work on your feet for long periods
* Team player with a flexible and positive attitude
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Working Environment:
Please note that this role involves working in a chilled environment, as many of our food products require cold storage to maintain freshness and safety. The packing area is kept at a low temperature throughout the shift (typically around 0–5°C). Appropriate PPE (e.g., warm workwear, gloves, and protective footwear) will be provided. Candidates must be comfortable working in colder conditions and able to maintain focus and efficiency in this environment.
Hours of working :
* Sunday - 12pm - 11pm
* Monday - 12pm - 8pm
* Tuesday - 1pm - 12am
* Wednesday - 12pm - 8pm
* Thursday - 12pm - 8pm
* Friday - 12pm - 8pm
* Saturday - NO PACKING
Please notes that overtime is mandatory.
