Are you an experienced healthcare administrator with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your workload? This role offers an opportunity to expand your skills working in Theatres.
We have an exciting opportunity for a focused and motivated individual to join our Theatres Team as a Theatre Clerk. You will assist in the provision of quality planned care for patients, by providing administrative assistance to the Theatre Management Team, Endoscopy and Decontamination Unit as required. This role is ideally suited to a strong administrator who has experience in a healthcare setting, excellent IT skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team. This role is a part time position working 15 hours per week (7am – 3pm, 2 days per week between Monday and Friday).
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to the Theatre Management Team including the production of clinical governance and utilisation reports.
* Communicate appropriately with all hospital staff and Consultants involved in the care of the patient.
* Make appointments and coordinate the Theatre Manager’s diary.
* Type letters and correspondence as instructed by the Theatre Manager.
* Attend Theatre meetings and take the minutes in an agreed format.
Person Specification
Essential
* A good standard of general education including English and Maths.
* Experience working as an administrator in a healthcare setting.
* IT literate including Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Desirable
* Demonstrable ability to format reports.
* Experience working in an acute clinical setting.
