We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Account Manager within our Account Management team. This role is pivotal in leading and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of The Good, The Bad & The Rugby’s media plan in accordance with best practice guidelines. You will be the key point of contact for all client-to-company comms (and vice-versa), working cross-functionally with the commercial sales team, production managers, producers and the social team to deliver an agreed scope of work.
This role requires a strategic thinker, strong project lead, and excellent communicator who can balance client objectives with brand priorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Alongside the Account Director, lead a portfolio of high-value clients across The Good, The Bad & The Rugby Podcast and on occasion The Good, The Scaz & The Rugby Podcast - positioning Platform Media as a key business partner.
* Work closely with the podcast and social producers, graphic designers, and videographers to ensure outputs are delivered according to clients’ expectations.
* Ensure end-to-end delivery of each scope of work, ensuring all work aligns with client objectives and KPIs.
* Report weekly on project progress to wider GB&R/GS&R teams
* Track project budgets and ensure invoices are raised as per the agreed payment terms
* Attend games and events for working purposes, requiring flexible hours (evenings and weekends)
* Effectively manage client relationships, alongside the commercial team.
* Maintain regular and clear communication, both internally and externally, ensuring all parties are aligned.
* Oversee the development of a detailed scope of work for each client.
* Ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
* Identify potential process improvements and implement changes where necessary.
* Identify and develop growth opportunities, proactively upselling services where appropriate with support from the commercial team.
* Experience dealing with high profile talent
Team & Stakeholder Management
* Review working practices and suggest alternatives to the Senior Production Manager & Account Director where necessary.
* Offer hands-on guidance to junior staff, to support the management of projects, alongside their line manager.
* Build strong cross-functional relationships, ensuring collaboration across teams to deliver successful campaign.

* Experience: Proven experience in account management, client services, or media/production roles.
* Client Relations: Strong ability to build trusted senior client relationships and act as a strategic partner.
* Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of media, marketing, and production within the sports sector.
* Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to analyse performance metrics, adapt strategies, and report insights effectively.
* Communication & Negotiation: Strong client-facing presentation and negotiation skills.
* Problem-Solving: A proactive and solution-oriented approach to managing challenges.
