At Arvato, we’re seeking a visionary and experienced Head of Warehouse Solutions Design to lead our Solutions Design function. In this strategic role, you will shape and deliver innovative logistics and supply chain solutions that win new business and optimise operations for existing customers, playing a key role in high-profile tenders and transformational projects.
Your Responsibilities:
1. End-to-End Solutions Design: Take ownership of the solutions design process within tenders, leading complex bid responses, and translating client requirements into operationally viable and commercially attractive solutions.
2. Leadership & Team Development: Inspire, lead, and develop a high-performing team of solutions designers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including Operations, IT, Commercial, and Project Management to ensure holistic and integrated solutions are delivered. Drive the development of scalable solutions across warehouse automation, process optimisation, and systems integration, using best-in-class tools and methodologies.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the bridge between Arvato and its clients, understanding business needs, articulating solutions clearly, and building long-term strategic relationships.
5. Governance & Compliance: Ensure all solution designs adhere to relevant regulatory requirements, company policies, and quality standards.
6. Project Oversight: Manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams, identifying and mitigating risks, managing timelines, and ensuring stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Your Profile:
* A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in leading warehouse or logistics solution design, with a strong track record of success in tender environments.
* Strong commercial and operational acumen with the ability to assess feasibility, costs, and ROI.
* Experience with design and modelling tools such as AutoCAD, WMS, and Excel-based calculation tools.
* A consultative and client-focused mindset, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
* A deep understanding of supply chain processes, warehouse automation, and industry compliance standards.
* A passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
