Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Lead to join our Cybersecurity Investigations team. This role manages technical operations and ensures the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of digital assets through proactive and reactive cybersecurity measures. The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals and collaborate with global leads and client partners to deliver services in the UK timezone.
This role is 100% remote, based in the UK, with flexible hours to support global operations. It reports to our US-based Service Delivery team and works closely with clients in the UK and US.
Key Responsibilities
* Mentor and develop a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing environment through effective management, recruitment, and training.
* Enhance team capabilities through training programs, quality assurance activities, and skill gap identification.
* Oversee daily technical operations, ensuring adherence to client security protocols.
* Manage incident response and forensic investigations, suggesting process improvements.
* Lead global initiatives, including process development, change management, reporting, and client requests.
* Stay updated on investigation types and ensure team skills are current.
* Serve as the primary technical liaison with the client and internal departments, preparing reports on security trends and incident status.
* Manage scheduling, attendance, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
* Address performance and morale concerns with managers and HR.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
* Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
* At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity operations or similar roles.
* Minimum of 5 years in active investigation within a global enterprise environment.
* Proven leadership in managing technical teams.
* Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, IAM).
* Proficiency with cybersecurity tools (SIEM, SOAR, SAS, Sandboxes, EDR, cloud tech).
* Knowledge of access control, cloud technologies, data retention, and encryption.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Experience presenting to clients and cross-functional teams.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Preferred: active participation in cybersecurity communities, knowledge of programming languages, forensic investigation experience.
