Job Description
New Directions Education is seeking a dedicated, full-time Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a warm and supportive primary school in Southport. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about early childhood development and who can bring creativity, commitment, and enthusiasm to this rewarding role within the school’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team.

The Role:
4. Provide consistent, full-time support within Nursery and/or Reception classes.
5. Work 1:1 and in small groups to support early communication, language, play-based learning, and social development.
6. Assist with structured routines, phonics activities, early maths, and creative/sensory learning opportunities.
7. Help maintain a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment both indoors and outdoors.
8. Support children with personal care routines when needed.
Who We’re Looking For:
9. Experience working with young children, ideally within a Nursery, Preschool, or primary school setting.
10. Experience from childcare, early years settings, education, or playwork is highly valued.
11. Able to work full-time
12. Willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide references from the last 5 years.
