A K-12 school is seeking multiple full-time Special Education Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. These contract positions are available across several locations near Hazleton, PA, including nearby areas such as Scranton, Freeland, and Lake Winola. This opportunity is ideal for educators passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Location: Hazleton, PA region
Positions: Full-Time Special Education Teachers (Grades K-5, 6-8, 9-12)
Contract Duration: 2025-2026 School Year
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver specially designed instruction to students with disabilities across assigned grade levels
* Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to create individualized education plans (IEPs)
* Monitor and document student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary to meet individualized goals
* Maintain pliance with state and federal special education laws and regulations
Qualifications:
* Active Pennsylvania certification in Special Education (Instructional I or II)
* Experience working with K-12 students with varying special needs
* Strong munication and organizational skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Emergency certifications are not accepted
