About the Role As our Lead Practice Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, high-quality care and leading a dynamic nursing team. You'll work closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals to provide a range of services including chronic disease management, health assessments, cytology, immunisations, and more. This role combines clinical excellence with team leadership, ensuring the ongoing development of nursing services within the practice. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day support for the nursing team. Deliver and oversee nursing care including long-term condition management, contraception advice, cytology, immunisations, and more. Foster a collaborative, supportive team environment through training, mentorship, and performance management. Drive quality improvement initiatives and support CQC compliance. Engage in patient education to promote self-care and health awareness. Collaborate with the wider clinical and administrative team to deliver integrated, patient-centred care.What We're Looking For Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration. Substantial experience in a primary care setting. Strong background in chronic disease management (e.g., asthma, COPD, diabetes). Proven leadership and mentoring skills. Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities. Commitment to ongoing professional development. Experience with EMIS or similar electronic patient record systems.Desirable Qualifications Independent Nurse Prescriber. Experience in spirometry and microsuction.
