As a Walkers Wholesale Development Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales, distribution, and visibility of Walkers products within your assigned wholesale territory. You will build strong relationships with wholesale depot teams, independent retailers, and key decision-makers to ensure Walkers remains the goto savoury snack brand in the marketplace. This role is ideal for a driven, people-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.

Responsibilities

1. Sales & Account Management

Grow sales and market share of Walkers Crisps and PepsiCo snacks across assigned wholesale depots. Manage a portfolio of wholesale depots, ensuring strong product availability, distribution, and promotional compliance. Identify opportunities to drive incremental sales through depot display and active selling in depot.

2. Relationship Building

Maintain strong relationships with depot managers, buyers and operations team, and retailers while in depot. Act as the key Walkers representative within your depots, ensuring collaboration and partnership with head office executional agreements.

3. Execution Excellence Ensure all promotional activity is implemented correctly, on time, and in full and correct location and product availability. Maximise brand visibility through merchandising, point-of-sale materials, and secondary sitings. Complete regular audits to ensure planogram and range and space compliance.

4. Territory Planning & Reporting Create/follow and execute structured call cycles and frequency across your regional wholesale depots. Present depot performance to depot management using internal reports and identify opportunities for growth. Provide regular feedback to the Sales Manager/account team on competitor activity, Retail and deport feedback and monthly download depot performance commentary.

5. Brand Ambassadorship Champion the Walkers brand in all interactions—promoting new products, value propositions, and seasonal campaigns through sampling and active selling Support depot events, trade days, sampling, and customer engagement activities.

Qualifications

Essential

1. Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
2. Excellent communication and relationship-building ability.
3. Full UK driving licence.

Preferred

4. Experience in FMCG field sales or wholesale account management.
5. Experience in the snacks, beverages, or impulse channel.
6. Knowledge of wholesale, cash & carry, or convenience retail sectors.
7. Understanding of sales data (, depot reports, EPOS analysis).

10. Comfortable working independently and managing a territory.
