TimePlan Education is seeking a reliable and organised Science Technician to join a supportive and well-resourced secondary school in the New Forest, Hampshire, starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting a busy science department and helping to deliver engaging practical lessons to students.
The Role
* Preparing, setting up, and clearing away equipment for practical science lessons
* Supporting teachers and students during laboratory sessions
* Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring it is safe and in good working order
* Managing stock levels and ordering resources when required
* Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
* Assisting with general administrative tasks within the science department
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience working in a school laboratory or similar environment (desirable)
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Good understanding of health and safety in a laboratory setting
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting staff and students
* Available to start as soon as possible
