Finance Assistant
Location: Perthshire, PH2 9PX - Hybrid Working (2 days onsite)
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday (08:30-17:00)

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Transactional Finance Manager, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day transactional finance activities of the business.
This role is ideal for someone with previous office experience who is organised, adaptable and comfortable working with financial systems. You will support core finance processes including bank reconciliations, payment processing, cash allocation and purchase order administration.
Key Responsibilities
• Reconcile bank statements to Sage
• Allocate daily cash receipts
• Set up supplier payments using online banking systems
• Record and bank customer cash and cheque payments
• Administer and maintain the purchase order process
• Assist with credit control activities when required
• Provide support across the finance function during periods of absence
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Ensure all transactional finance processes are completed accurately and on time
• Use and maintain the Sage finance system, including SICON approvals
• Ensure finance records and data are kept up to date
• Communicate effectively with colleagues across the business
• Support the finance team with additional duties when required
• Adapt to changing priorities and workload as needed
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and able to manage a range of administrative and finance tasks.
Essential
• Minimum 1 year office or administrative experience
• Good computer literacy and confidence using business systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across the business
Desirable
• Experience working with Sage accounting software
• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
