About the Role: The client is seeking an experienced Out-of-Hours Emergency Critical Care Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive night team in a family-run 24/7 hospital. The role requires sound medical and surgical capability and confidence in ECC. The surgeon will manage a varied emergency caseload, provide high-quality patient care, and support the day team with complex cases. Development within a clinical interest will be supported with a generous CPD allowance. The night team undertakes procedures including oesophageal tube placements, Seldinger chest drains, silicone abdominal peritoneal drains, pig tail urinary catheters, urinary catheterisation, TFAST and AFAST, endoscopy, and negative pressure wound therapy. Regular emergency surgeries include caesareans, pyometra, and exploratory laparotomy with enterotomy and enterectomy. Medical case exposure includes Addisonian crises, diabetic ketoacidosis, and severe pancreatitis.
