Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Senior Systems Support Engineer to join a growing technical team supporting a diverse range of modern client environments. This is a hands-on, third-line role where you’ll work with the latest cloud, security, and infrastructure technologies while playing a key part in maintaining high availability and driving technical improvements.

You’ll gain exposure to a wide and modern tech stack, including:
* Microsoft Cloud & Productivity: Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
* Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* Virtualisation: VMware and Hyper-V
* Security & Access: MDR/EDR, SASE, Privileged Access Management (PAM), password vaulting
* Core Infrastructure: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
* Networking: General troubleshooting and diagnostics
* Backup & Recovery: Veeam and enterprise-grade backup solutions
Responsibilities
* Acting as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
* Troubleshooting and resolving incidents across cloud, virtualisation, and on-prem environments
* Managing upgrades, patching, and system improvements in line with best practice
* Supporting and enhancing security controls and responding to incidents
* Delivering and maintaining robust backup and disaster recovery solutions
* Working closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve issues efficiently
* Mentoring junior engineers and sharing technical knowledge
* Keeping clear and detailed documentation throughout the support lifecycle
Qualifications
* Strong experience in a 3rd line or senior support role
* Solid technical knowledge across Microsoft cloud technologies, virtualisation, and infrastructure
* Experience with security tools and modern IT environments
* A proactive mindset with a focus on automation and continuous improvement
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
* Ability to manage priorities and perform well under pressure
