Overview
Parcel Delivery Driver – Newcastle (NE1 1AD) Delivery Office. Job type: Permanent. Hours: 25 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday to Sunday, typically between 14:30 and 19:30. Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday according to a local rota/plan. This role is part of a team delivering parcels and providing customer service in the local area.
Responsibilities
* Deliver parcels to customers across the assigned area, ensuring on-time deliveries.
* Pre-pack and prepare your van and workload for the day.
* Use route-planning technology tools to ensure parcels reach the right place at the right time.
* Interacting with customers in a professional and positive manner, representing Royal Mail.
* Collaborate with the team to meet daily delivery targets and maintain high service standards.
Qualifications
* Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
* Upbeat, self-motivated, able to work independently, organised and punctual with good initiative.
* Committed to delivering excellent customer service and acting as a positive ambassador for Royal Mail.
* Comfortable interacting with customers and delivering in the afternoon and early evenings.
