Job Title: Infrastructure Services Specialist

The Job
As an Infrastructure Services Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of infrastructure and operations services. With a strong technical foundation across infrastructure technologies and an understanding of governance and service management frameworks, you will act as a vital link between technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT Infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) teams to develop and maintain the I&O roadmap.
* Assist with the planning and resourcing of I&O projects and engagements across the I&O teams.
* Engage with IT Customer Engagement, Internal Customers and the PMO to understand business demands, converting them to technical requirements and consult the I&O teams appropriately.
* Manage the change requests and service requests from the IT Customer Engagement teams and ensure that they are processed and implemented in a timely and efficient manner.
* Communicate with the IT Customer Engagement team regularly and proactively to understand their requirements, expectations, and feedback.
* Assist with the budgeting process and operational tracking across the I&O teams.
* Chair the Technical Steering Committee (TSC), operating a technical, pre-Change Advisory Board (CAB) review meeting.
* Coordinate the development of I&O service documentation and records, for example, strategies, service catalogues, service level agreements, service reports, and service logs.
* Coordinate governance activities across the I&O teams working with IT GRC, for example, internal/external audits and risk management.
* Assist in the development, monitoring and maintenance of service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for I&O services; report on the service performance to the I&O team and IT Office.
* Assist with the identification and coordination for resolving service issues or incidents, escalating to the Infrastructure Leadership team as needed.
Essential Requirements
* Higher education in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
* At least 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure service engagement, delivery, management, engineering or solution design.
* Strong knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure technologies - network, servers, storage, backup, security, and cloud services.
* Experience with infrastructure operations, monitoring, and performance management tools.
* Understanding of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) principles within IT operations.
* Proficiency in KPI and metrics reporting for service performance.
* Familiarity with resource and capacity planning in IT Infrastructure environments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve service issues and incidents.
* Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Familiarity with service management and project management frameworks such as ITIL, Prince2, PMP.

Hybrid working
