Parkinson Lee Executive Search are retained partners to a leading manufacturing group in the appointment of a Managing Director to join the business in the next phase of their growth. Reporting into the CEO, this is a pivotal role in development and delivery of this growth strategy – primarily through organic growth, expanding consumables and services, and unlocking significant cross-sell opportunities. With global operations across US, UK and Europe our client is a Private Equity backed $700 million Group, and a market leader with their UK operation, employing c150 staff across 4 sites turning over c£40 million. The Managing Director (UK & Ireland) will have full P&L responsibility for the UK & Ireland business, which is embarking on a three – year plan to double turnover. You will lead the UK Senior Leadership Team and drive profitable growth by shaping and executing market strategies, building organisational capability, and fostering a high-performance culture. Key Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and develop the Senior Leadership Team to deliver against financial and operational goals. Drive sales growth across equipment, consumables, and services, including pricing strategy, pipeline management, and customer engagement. Build strong supplier partnerships to support market growth and profitability. Ensure operational excellence across multi-site operations, optimising working capital, efficiency, and safety. Partner with corporate leadership to align UK growth strategy with global objectives. Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and innovation, underpinned by strong people leadership. Candidate Profile: Proven track record of P&L leadership in an industrial environment, with both product experience across equipment sales and follow on consumables Experience managing multi-site operations, ideally within a £50m–£100m turnover business. Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable success in driving growth and profitability. Private equity experience highly advantageous; international exposure desirable. A credible, engaging people leader with the ability to inspire teams and influence at both local and corporate levels. Forward-thinking, results-driven, with experience in integration and change management. Technical/mechanical background beneficial but not essential.
