Position
As Head of Food and Nutrition you will support, develop and lead a team of teachers within your department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning and contributing to the academic success of students.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the Food and Nutrition department, setting curriculum priorities and learning objectives.
* Mentor and manage teaching staff, providing guidance and feedback to promote professional growth.
* Collaborate with senior leadership to embed best practice in nutrition, safety and hygiene.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and safeguarding standards and policies.
* Represent the department in school committees and local discussions.
Qualifications and Experience
* Postgraduate qualification in food and nutrition, dietetics or a related subject.
* Significant experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
* Strong knowledge of UK food and nutrition standards and local authority regulations.
* Excellent communication, organisational and people‑skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
