A high-impact field sales role in specialist eye care
We are recruiting an experienced Ophthalmology Account Manager to take ownership of a defined territory across Surrey, Hampshire and Dorset, managing a portfolio of diagnostic and surgical ophthalmic solutions used in specialist clinics and operating theatres.
This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on account management, demonstrations, and delivering commercially successful outcomes across NHS and private customers.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the full sales cycle across your region from identifying and qualifying opportunities to demonstrations, negotiation, implementation and ongoing account development. You have complete ownership of the territory working with a fantastic Regional sales manager to deliver success.
Key elements include:
1. Managing and growing existing and target accounts
2. Delivering equipment demonstrations, evaluations and trials
3. Selling capital equipment, consumables portfolio
4. Engaging with clinicians, procurement and biomedical teams
5. Preparing proposals, tenders and forecasts
6. Negotiating within agreed pricing frameworks
7. Coordinating training, implementations and post-sale support
8. Managing pipeline, forecasting and account plans via CRM
About You
9. Proven medical device or healthcare sales experience is essential
10. Comfortable selling consumable products & technical, capital-led solutions
11. Confident working in clinical and theatre environments
12. Strong account management and relationship skills
13. NHS experience and ophthalmology knowledge advantageous
14. Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK
Territory & Working Style
15. Field-based role covering Surrey, Hampshire & Dorset
16. Significant regional travel required
17. High level of autonomy with structured support
Salary & Package
18. Base salary: £45,000£55,000 (exceptionally matched candidates)
19. On-target earnings: £26,000
