The Opportunity
1. I’m currently partnering with a well-established main contractor in Lincolnshire who is looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with the addition of an experienced Estimator.
2. With a healthy pipeline of secured and uing projects, this role offers long-term stability alongside the opportunity to play a key part in shaping future business wins. Thepany delivers a variety of projects typically valued between £500k and £5m, across multiple sectors viapetitive tenders, frameworks, and their own developments.
3. You’ll be joining a collaborative and experienced team, where your input will genuinely be valued and you’ll have the autonomy to influence how projects are approached and priced.
The Role
4. As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate andpetitive tenders, supporting the business in securing new work.
5. Key responsibilities include:
6. Preparing detailed cost estimates from first principles for a range of construction projects
7. Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
8. Producing bills of quantities and pricing schedules
9. Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtainpetitive quotations
10. Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
11. Supporting bid submissions and contributing to tender strategy
12. Working closely with themercial and operational teams throughout the pre-construction phase
13. Maintaining and developing strong supply chain relationships
What We’re Looking For
14. Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contractor environment
15. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing
16. Experience pricing projects within the £500k – £5m range (desirable)
17. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders
18. Excellent attention to detail andmercial awareness
19. Strongmunication and negotiation skills
20. Full UK driving licence
