Occupational Therapist
Overview
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our in‑house clinical team at Riseley Green School. You will work collaboratively with the education team to embed Occupational Therapy intervention for pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence, or SEMH needs, following the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working and supporting the delivery of Occupational Therapy provisions on students’ EHCPs.
Responsibilities
• Deliver and support the embedding of Occupational Therapy interventions at the whole‑school level.
• Provide clinical OT services within the school setting.
• Contribute to staff training and offer consultation as required.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to support pupils’ independence and well‑being.
Qualifications
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree.
* Valid and up‑to‑date HCPC registration.
* Registered member of RCOT.
* Relevant experience in providing OT services within a similar setting.
* Experience working with neurodivergent or socio‑emotional and mental health needs.
* Sound knowledge of OT theory and its practical application.
* Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services.
* Ability to work independently, flexibly, and confidently.
* Clear and concise report‑writing skills.
* Interest in sensory integration or sensory‑informed practice (SI practitioner training optional).
Location
Riseley Green School, Berkshire, RG7 1QF. Some flexible and cross‑site work will be required to support a new OFG school opening in September 2026.
Salary & Hours
Salary: up to £53,200 FTE, DOE.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Contract
Permanent. Term‑time only, or flexibility around a full‑time contract may be discussed based on personal circumstances.
