Job Description
As Hestas first dedicated engineer, you will own and evolve a modern care platform closing the women’s health gap. Working alongside founders from Airbnb and Babylon, youll ship full-stack features, integrate AI capabilities, and build scalable foundations for pregnancy and postnatal care pathways in a high-autonomy, mission-driven environment.

What you will do
* Take day‑to‑day ownership of the Hesta codebase across the full stack, translating clinical insights into production‑ready features and robust infrastructure.
* Implement and experiment with AI‑enabled features, including LLM‑powered agent workflows and automation to improve clinical operations and user experience.
* Design and maintain data‑compliant systems that meet stringent healthcare regulatory standards including UK GDPR, NHS DSPT, and MHRA guidance.
The ideal candidate
* At least 5+ years of experience in high‑impact, early‑stage product teams with a pragmatic, builder mindset and the ability to own systems end‑to‑end.
* Strong proficiency in Node.js or Python (FastAPI/Flask) for backend development and React or Next.js for frontend, including cloud deployment experience (AWS/GCP/Azure).
* Product‑minded engineer who is AI‑curious and understands or is eager to master the constraints of clinical workflows and healthcare data privacy standards.
