Job Summary
High Risk Podiatrist – NHS.
We are looking for an experienced podiatrist to work as part of our existing team in Powys. You will specialise in the management of high‑risk patients and wound care, supporting diabetic foot complications.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist podiatry services to high‑risk patients and diabetic foot complications.
* Deliver advanced wound care and casting techniques within a busy clinical environment.
* Supervise junior staff, students and support team members.
* Work with a multi‑agency team to provide integrated care and service delivery.
* Travel across Powys as required.
* Participate in digital record rollout, video consultations and continuous service improvement.
* Support colleagues under an existing learning and development scheme, and assist candidates to gain independent prescribing qualifications if not already held.
* Develop and maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to audits and service evaluations.
* Represent the Board at local and national meetings and maintain compliance with clinical governance and codes of conduct.
Qualifications
* Diploma or Degree in Podiatry.
* Advanced accredited training at Masters level or equivalent.
* Accredited postgraduate specialist courses/training relevant to the role.
* HCPC registration.
* Non‑medical prescribing / independent prescribing qualification (desirable).
* Member of the Royal College of Podiatry (desirable).
Experience
* Significant postgraduate experience in podiatry or a related specialty.
* Experience managing a complex caseload of high‑risk patients.
* Multi‑agency team working experience and proven leadership in a clinical setting.
* Audit, service evaluation and research experience.
* Staff development, teaching and supervision experience.
* Experience in casting and requesting diagnostics (desirable).

* Willingness to undertake further Masters‑level training if required.

Additional Information
Applicants requiring skilled worker sponsorship will be considered alongside all other applications. UK professional registration is mandatory. The role is permanent and can be full‑time, part‑time or job‑share. Salary: £48,527 to £55,532 a year (pro rata if part time).
