Contract: 12-month FTC (potential for permanent role)
As we establish our fragrance manufacturing business in the UK, we are looking for Lab Assistants who will play a crucial and impactful role in the success of our venture. Role and Responsibilities
Production and Development:
* Manufacture personal care, cleaning, and household products based on formulation templates.
* Optimise and update existing formulations by incorporating new raw materials.
Perfuming:
* Mixing fragrances into products in the Fine Fragrances, Personal Care, and Household Care categories.
Test Series:
* Independently plan, conduct, and oversee test series to evaluate fragrance compositions and product stability.
* Document test results electronically.
Stability Testing:
* Coordinate and execute stability and shelf‑life tests according to internal standards.
About you
* Educational background: BSc or MSc in Chemistry
* Some experience in a technical or analytical laboratory, ideally within consumer goods, personal care, home care, or fragrance is desirable but not mandatory. Full training will be provided.
* Good understanding of basic laboratory practices, handling chemicals, and safety procedures.
* Strong attention to detail and a precise, methodical approach to work.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
* Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
* Good communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
* Competence in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for documentation and data recording.
* Ability to maintain clean, safe, and compliant lab environments.
