Are you an experienced technical sales professional with a strong background in machining or cutting tools? We are recruiting for a driven Area Sales Manager to oversee a high-potential territory across the North Midlands.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, high-tech organisation operating at the forefront of precision engineering solutions.
The Role
You will take full ownership of your region, managing and developing relationships with key customers and distributors while driving new business growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Selling complex, technical, advice-led products to high-value customers
2. Managing and growing an existing customer base across the North Midlands
3. Providing technical sales support via phone, email, and on-site visits
4. Delivering product demonstrations, installations, and customer training
5. Representing the business at exhibitions and industry events
6. Identifying new opportunities and developing strategic sales plans
7. Working independently to achieve and exceed sales targets
This is a field-based role requiring regular travel across your territory, with the flexibility to manage your own schedule.
What We're Looking For
8. Technical background in engineering, machining, or manufacturing
9. Strong knowledge of tool holding, milling, or cutting tool technologies
10. Minimum 5 years' experience within the cutting tool or machine tool industry
11. Proven track record in technical sales and territory management
12. Confident communicator with strong customer-facing skills
13. Self-motivated, organised, and commercially driven
14. Willingness to travel extensively across the region
