Key Responsibilities for this Civil Engineer role include;
Lead the design of highways and drainage schemes, including adoptable standards (e.g., Section 278, Section 38, Section 104).
Use AutoCAD, Civil 3d or Causeway Flow to produce detailed drainage and highway calculations, sketches and drawings.
Prepare specifications and documentation in line with CIRIA guidance, BRE digests, BS EN 752 and relevant design standards.
Conduct site visits to verify that construction aligns with drawings and design intent.
Maintain commercial awareness around costing, budgets and quotations.
Support process improvement in design services and operational efficiency within the team.Essential Experience & Qualifications for this Civil Engineer role:
At least 3 years' UK-based experience in highways and drainage design.
Experience producing highway and drainage calculations, preparing sketches, drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with adoptable standards (Section 278, Section 38, Section 104).
Report writing and site verification experience.
