New Directions Education are one of the preferred suppliers to schools within Cardiff and we are extremely busy. We are looking to increase our bank of Information Communication & Technology Teachers. We have long and short-term, full time and part-time vacancies available. You will be based in a secondary school providing education for pupils aged between 11-18.

To be considered for a role with New Directions you must:

* Have a genuine passion for teaching;
* All subjects considered;
* Be EWC registered;
* Be able to teach Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4);
* Have a clear DBS;
* Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT’s) are welcome to apply for this role.

Job Specification

If you are a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or experienced Information Communication & Technology teacher, we offer roles which include delivering the curriculum in Key Stage 3 (KS3) to Key Stage 4 (KS4) with a possible work at Key Stage 5 (KS5).

As an Information Communication & Technology teacher you’ll be expected to:

* Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
* Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
* Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
* Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
* Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
* Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
* Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
* Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
* Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
