MTC FutureReady is an independent social enterprise focused on empowering people from all backgrounds to improve their skills and employment prospects.

Our training programs, employment services and support enable over 20,000 people each year across New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT to gain confidence and opportunities.

About the Role

Following our recent success in securing the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) tender, MTC is looking for a driven Community Advocate to join our Employment Services team on a full‑time basis, servicing Liverpool ESA.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Community Advocate will build and maintain strong networks with local community organisations and support services to provide tailored and individualised support to IEA participants. The role will focus on connecting participants with services that address non‑vocational barriers to sustainable employment.

* Networking and building strong relationships with local external support and community services such as NDIS providers, medical practitioners and wellbeing organisations.
* Promoting the benefits of inclusive employment through direct promotion, business development and attending community events.
* Collaborating with referral partners and stakeholders to generate new participant referrals and support the onboarding process of participants joining MTC.
* Facilitating workshops and group sessions to engage and educate participants and stakeholders.
* Building rapport and understanding of participants’ goals, progress and circumstances and connecting them with their practitioner.
* Connecting participants to services that address identified barriers, such as community organisations, support programs, allied health providers, medical professionals and educational organisations.
* Maintaining and updating documentation of referral details, communications and appointments.
* Other duties as required.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

* Lived experience or relevant experience supporting people with disability.

* A valid, unrestricted driver’s licence.

Why Choose Us
