Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Charity Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Drops of Mercy. The successful candidate will oversee program delivery, staff and volunteer management, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement. This is a pivotal leadership role requiring strategic vision, operational excellence, and a genuine commitment to our mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the charity's daily operations, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of all projects and services.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff and volunteers, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
* Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure income through grants, donations, partnerships, and events.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, community partners, and other stakeholders.
* Oversee financial management, including budgeting, monitoring expenditure, and ensuring resources are used responsibly.
* Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and safeguarding requirements.
* Represent Drops of Mercy at external meetings, community events, and networking opportunities to raise awareness and build partnerships.
* Report regularly to the Board of Trustees on operational performance, impact, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Proven experience in a management or leadership role within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
* Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant applications, or partnership development.
* Ability to inspire, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
* Genuine passion for the mission and values of Drops of Mercy.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of charity governance, safeguarding, and compliance requirements.
* Experience working with diverse communities and stakeholder groups.
* Financial management experience, including budgeting and reporting.

Pay: £24,420.00-£50,420.00 per year
