Overview
As a Materials Controller, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the successful and timely delivery of Capula-built control panels and equipment. Reporting directly to the Stores Team Leader, you’ll be part of a collaborative team responsible for managing materials, maintaining inventory systems, and ensuring traceability and compliance across all stock movements.
This is a hands-on, detail-driven role that requires excellent organisational skills, a methodical approach, and a proactive attitude. You’ll liaise with production teams and engineers, manage deliveries and stock, and help maintain the integrity of our inventory and calibration systems.
Responsibilities
* Receive and process deliveries, verifying documentation and updating the ERP system
* Maintain accurate records in the electronic inventory management system
* Store materials securely and clearly, preserving condition and traceability
* Liaise with production and engineering teams to fulfil component requirements
* Issue materials and consumables in line with project delivery schedules
* Manage PPE distribution and maintain usage records
* Oversee calibration of tools and equipment, updating the calibration database
* Support continuous improvement and uphold health & safety standards

* Able to plan ahead, prioritise tasks, and manage workloads effectively
* Comfortable using computers and handling administrative tasks

* Committed to safety and quality in every aspect of their work
* Familiarity with electrical components or an electrical background
* Experience using Microsoft Nav ERP or similar inventory systems
* Monday to Thursday: 08:00–16:30 (30-minute unpaid lunch)
* Friday Week 1: 08:00–13:30
* Occasional weekend work may be required
