Description and Requirements

We are currently looking for a Procurement Manager to develop the procurement strategy, procure and manage individual category agreements, sub‑contract packages and/or supply agreements at project / category level, delivering best value solutions, and providing projects and/or Enabling Functions with a compliant, sustainable supply chain.
As the Procurement Manager you will:
* Development of package / category procurement strategies to clearly demonstrate and seek approval from stakeholders on how a product / service will be procured.
* Undertake tendering activity applying a balanced approach to select suppliers based upon criteria which is relevant to the customers and Skanska's objectives.
* Procurement and management of a portfolio of sub‑contract packages / categories to optimise value to the business through strategic supplier selection and supplier relationship management.
* Development and on‑going management of internal and external stakeholder relationships at all levels to identify and deliver timely procurement activity to the project procurement schedule / category plan to support profitable projects and the UK Business Plan.
* Drafting of recommendations / business cases, for approval and senior management endorsement of supply chain selection.
* Draft, negotiate and execute robust agreements / contracts incorporating relevant Skanska policies, to reflect the deal and protect the business from risk.
We are looking for:
* Good supply chain marketplace knowledge.
* Strong analytical skills with an ability to drive the right decisions and outcomes in line with organisation priorities.
* Confident and professional approach to stakeholder engagement, with experience of holding stakeholders to account when necessary to uphold legislative compliance and adherence to procurement policy.
* Self‑starter and able to work on own initiative to deliver to agreed timescales.
