We have an exciting opportunity at Derbyshire Recovery Partnership Substance Use Service for someone who is passionate about starting a career as a Trainee Recovery Connector Practitioner.

The role will be working within the High Peak area of Derbyshire, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

The Role

Join our Derbyshire Recovery Partnership team as a Trainee Recovery Connector Practitioner, supporting people recovering from drug and alcohol use across the High Peak area.

You'll Work Closely With

* Recovery Connector Workers
* Drug and Alcohol Key Workers
* A new Lives Experience Pathway Coordinator

Skills

In this hands-on trainee role, you'll gain skills, knowledge, and practical experience through structured training and coaching. You'll support individuals through their recovery journey by:

* Connecting them to community groups, mutual aid meetings, and structured activities
* Helping deliver group sessions (in person and online)
* Attending appointments with service users to reduce barriers and build confidence
* Supporting recovery planning and harm reduction work
* Promoting positive change and visible recovery in the community

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

* Passionate about recovery and helping others
* Motivating, proactive, and supportive
* A strong communicator with good written and IT skills (Excel knowledge essential)
* Willing and able to travel across the High Peak area (full driving licence and access to a vehicle required)
