The role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fire & Security Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of a range of fire and security systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. This role requires a customer-focused professional with strong technical knowledge and a commitment to delivering high standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities Install, service, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems.
Install and maintain intruder alarm systems.
Service and fault-find CCTV systems, including IP-based systems.
Install and maintain access control systems.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits in accordance with company and industry standards.
Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently and effectively.
Complete all relevant service reports, worksheets, and compliance documentation accurately.
Ensure all work complies with current health and safety legislation and industry regulations.
Provide technical support and advice to customers on system operation and maintenance.
Participate in an on-call rota where required.
Maintain company equipment, tools, and vehicle in good condition.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and colleagues.
Required Skills and Experience Proven experience working as a Fire & Security Engineer.
Strong knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
Experience carrying out installations, servicing, maintenance, and fault finding.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Good IT skills for completing digital reports and documentation.
Qualifications Relevant industry experience within fire and security engineering.
Full UK Driving Licence.
ECS/CSCS Card (desirable).
FIA qualifications (desirable).
Manufacturer training certifications (desirable).
