Porter / Cleaner
We are currently recruiting a Porter / Cleaner to work within a busy Manufacturing and Production environment based in Stafford (ST18). This Porter / Cleaner role is hands-on and physical, ideal for someone reliable, hardworking, and experienced in industrial or commercial cleaning. The Porter / Cleaner position offers stable daytime hours with ongoing work.
Location: Stafford - ST18
Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:00
Contract: Ongoing - possible temp to perm
Key Responsibilities
* Working on the manufacturing shop floor
* Removing cardboard and general waste streams and placing them into external waste containers
* Sweeping and mopping floor areas
* Dusting and wiping ledges and surfaces
* Keeping rear yard areas clean and tidy
* Operating a scrubber dryer machine
* Assisting with cardboard baling when required
Role Requirements
* Previous cleaning experience (industrial or manufacturing environment preferred)
* Ability to work Monday to Friday without restrictions
* Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
* Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
PPE & Clothing Requirements
* Plain black polo shirt
* Black trousers
* Black safety shoes (essential)
* Hi-vis waistcoat and safety glasses provided
* Cold-weather clothing required for outdoor duties
