Hybrid Working Model: 50% office / 50% remote Location: West London - Chiswick Park Department Function: Supply Chain EMEA This job contributes to Starbucks success by managing a portfolio of spend, developing sourcing strategies and in managing suppliers for best value, availability, quality and service to our licensing partners across EMEA. Where required you may have direct reports. The role sets commercial direction, manages supplier performance and coaches team members as well as collaborates cross-functionally to deliver goals and enable the team to manage complex projects including leading all supplier communication and sets targets for cost saving/efficiencies. Here, you'll achieve results by: Sourcing Strategy - Employ strong knowledge of key industry players, competitors and market dynamics. - Effectively develop and execute complex sourcing strategies, effectively manage suppliers and internal networks to deliver best in class performance. - Consistently deliver measurable and strategic goals. - Develop effective negotiation strategies. - Source new products and maintain supplier relationships. - Maintain governance and procurement processes. - Deliver key business changes and improvement programs. - Coordinate solutions to complex procurement & supply chain problems. Supplier Relationship Management - Managing direct/indirect sourcing categories - Leverage relationships with strategic suppliers - Manage and measure suppliers for performance and innovation - Knowledge of supplier capacity and routes to market Cross-Functional Projects - Apply program and project management tools - Collaborate across supply chain operations - Solving problems and make decisions independently - Provide hands-on execution support - Provide solutions to licensee queries - Engage cross-functionally with FSQRN, category, finance, customer service, supply chain teams - Collaboration with FSQR&N on supplier reviews Team Management - Manage a team of supply chain commercial partners - Motivate and collaborate across the team and peer group - Lead using experience and best practice procurement - Deliver best practice and leverage opportunities - Manage performance and improvement - Assist senior sourcing manager in strategic goals Here, you'll contribute to our shared success by: - Managing a significant annual spend. - Leading team to manage supplier relationships end to end - Accountable for cost saving, COGS improvement and price mitigation - Contributes to annual operating plan - Content owner for IBP, S&OE where needed Here, you'll thrive by: - Deep knowledge of sourcing category strategies - Managing supplier relationships with Lean and should-cost models - Understanding procurement legal requirements - Strong business ethics - 5 years sourcing/procurement experience - Purchasing in retail, trading or FMCG - Leading and influencing peers - Strong communication with senior stakeholders - Excellent English communication What else should you know?
