Deals Senior Analyst/Manager
Hutcheon Mearns are recruiting a Deals Senior Analyst/Manager to work across Corporate Finance and Transaction Services to support the successful execution of M&A transactions. Supporting a rapidly growing professional advisory firm with a market leading corporate finance team in Scotland, we are looking to recruit a Qualified Accountant into our Aberdeen based team. Applications are sought from ambitious and driven individuals who will work within a professional and collaborative culture within a dynamic setting.
Consideration will be given to driven individuals with a proven track record of achievement, from a professional practice or corporate finance background. Candidates must have a proactive attitude and display superior communication and interpersonal skills. Strong Excel skills are required and previous experience in a transaction-based role would be highly advantageous.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assisting in the execution of deals
* Assisting in the preparation of marketing pitchbooks and related materials
* Gathering public information relating to companies and transactions through numerous sources
* Financial analyses and assessment of companies
* Generating models for company valuations and building company forecast models
* Drafting marketing documents such as Confidential Information Memorandums for sell-side assignments / financings
* Analysing company performance on an absolute and relative basis
* Producing and maintaining various databases
* Supporting clients through due diligence processes – managing data sites and information provision
* Working with the team to coordinate key aspects of transaction workstreams
* Conduct in-depth financial analysis of target companies, assessing key drivers, financial trends and risks
* Work closely with clients and external advisors to ensure alignment on transaction objectives and key deliverables
* Identify potential deal risks and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate financial exposure
* Develop clear, concise reports that summarises complex financial data into actionable insights for our clients
* Keep up to date with industry best practices, emerging market trends, and regulatory changes that could impact client transactions

This represents an opportunity to join a young and disruptive corporate finance team, focused on providing flexible, value-add advisory services to its extensive client base. The company is privately owned and has grown to c.70 staff across four offices in Scotland.
