Trainee Tax Adviser – Private Clients (School Leaver or Graduate) – ATT/CTA
PEM is looking for ambitious school leavers and graduates to join our Private Client Tax team as Trainee Tax Advisers from summer 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a stimulating career in tax with Cambridge’s largest independent accountancy firm. You’ll gain hands-on experience preparing tax returns, supporting advisory projects and learning from our diverse client base, while completing our structured training programme to qualify as a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA). Responsibilities
What will you be doing day to day?
* Assist with tax return preparation, basic tax computations and support tax planning and advisory assignments.
* Work on client-focused projects and office-based tasks, gaining exposure to a diverse client base across various industry sectors.

What are we looking for?
* A minimum of 112 UCAS points from all your A-Levels and/or a minimum 2:2 degree
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Professional approach with a good eye for detail
* Ability to work flexibly and supportively within a busy team
* Commitment to maintaining high professional standards
