Working Cleaning Supervisor – Motorway Services
£14.27 per hour | Immediate start available
TC Facilities Management is recruiting a hands-on Working Cleaning Supervisor to lead a small cleaning team at a busy motorway service station.
This is a front-line role where you’ll supervise the team while actively cleaning alongside them, helping to maintain high hygiene and presentation standards across all customer areas.
Location & Hours
🚗 Own transport required – motorway location with no public transport access
1. Hours: 35 hours per week
2. Shift pattern: 5 days out of 7
3. Shifts: 6:00am–2:00pm and 2:00pm–10:00pm
4. Includes weekends and Bank Holidays
💷 Pay: £14.27 per hour
📅 Start: Immediate start available
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for supervising a team of around five cleaners, ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness in a high-footfall, customer-facing environment. This includes public areas, toilets, and shower facilities.
Working closely with the Area Manager, you’ll support day-to-day operations, train team members on-site, and act as the first point of contact for any cleaning-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
5. Supervise and support the on-site cleaning team
6. Carry out hands-on cleaning duties alongside the team
7. Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards across all customer areas
8. Lead by example and motivate the team
9. Support training and induction of new starters
10. Ensure cleaning schedules and priorities are met
11. Report and resolve day-to-day site issues
What We’re Looking For
12. Previous cleaning experience (supervisory or team leader experience preferred)
13. Comfortable with hands-on cleaning in a busy environment
14. Reliable, proactive, and able to lead by example
15. Excellent attention to detail
16. Own vehicle essential due to site location
