Whilst you will predominantly work from your main base, you will be expected to do clinic days in others bases due to the countywide nature of the service. We are looking for a Practitioner Psychologist who already has the competence and experience relevent to an 8a position, or a Psychologist who meets the qualification, training and competency for a Band 7 post and can achieve the 8a position through a preceptorship programme. If the post holder does not hold a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp) qualification, they will be expected to complete a CBTp course from Autumn 2026. To support the team in developing psychologically informed formulation to build an understanding of the people who access our services and determine the appropriate treatment pathways to meet their clinical needs. To provide clinical leadership for the team and enable the implementation of psychologically informed pathways of care and treatment. To support a formulation based approach to risk assessment and management that enables considered decision making and responses to individual need. To deliver a specialised psychological resource for adults with First Episode Psychosis. To support coproduced service development within the team and support research, audit and activities within your interests, expertise and the needs of the service. To provide clinical supervision for Trainee psychologists and Psychological Intervention Facilitators. To hold a dedicated caseload of individuals allocated from the countywide team to provide psychological interventions. To deliver CBTp interventions in line with NICE guidelines and to support KPI targets. Newly qualified applicants will be considered for a developmental Band 7 to 8a role over a defined period in line with the Trust preceptorship policy.
