Job description: As the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), you will handle safeguarding referrals through our system, ensuring adherence to our safeguarding policies. While some tasks may be delegated to deputies, the DSL remains responsible for overseeing the quality of their work. Key Responsibilities: Lead on safeguarding, behaviour management, and policy implementation. Coordinate the Attendance Policy and respond swiftly to support children in need. Liaise with parents/carers, providing data and training to staff, and ensure compliance in reporting. Supervise the Behaviour Support Specialist and deputies while managing external safeguarding referrals. Oversee pastoral, wellbeing, and behavioural support policies and maintain effective communication with parents, staff, and agencies. Collaborate with Service Leads on strategic planning, policy development, and service improvement. Ensure compliance with statutory guidelines, including Ofsted regulations.Leadership & Management: Partner with Service Leads on day-to-day operations, staff recruitment, training, and policy implementation.
