Overview
We are seeking two experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses to lead a team of Mental Health Nurses and Mental Health Care Assistants to deliver excellent mental health nursing care. The post holders will lead a team supporting assessment and care planning for patients who require intensive one-to-one nursing support and have been admitted to UCLH. They will work with the Matron for Enhanced Therapeutic Observations and Care (ETOC) to provide clinical support and supervision to Band 6 Mental Health Nurses and Mental Health Care Assistants who deliver mental health nursing support on hospital wards requiring close and supportive observations. The role includes teaching, education, and support to nursing and medical teams, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. The post holder will work on a day-time shift basis, allocating resources and overseeing all patients requiring enhanced observations.
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of Mental Health Nurses and Mental Health Care Assistants in delivering enhanced observations and mental health care.
* Support assessment and care planning for patients requiring intensive one-to-one nursing care.
* Provide clinical support and supervision to Band 6 Mental Health Nurses and Mental Health Care Assistants.
* Teach, educate, and support the nursing and medical teams in the hospital.
* Share expertise through teaching and multi-disciplinary working to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
* Manage day-time shift allocations and provide oversight and support for patients requiring enhanced observations.

Qualifications
* Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with experience in leading and supervising nursing teams.
* Ability to teach and support multidisciplinary teams, with strong leadership and communication skills.
* Experience in assessments and care planning for patients requiring enhanced observations.
* Commitment to high-quality patient care and collaborative practice.
