Academic Teaching Fellows work with module leads to plan and deliver all aspects of undergraduate medical education to first‑ and second year medical students. The role has an emphasis on demonstrating clinical skills and providing clinical context to student learning in the first and second years of medical school. As part of the Academic Teaching Fellow team, the position offers the opportunity to be involved in a variety of academic tasks including student assessment and applicant selection. The primary role of an Academic Teaching Fellow is to facilitate group work sessions that provide a clinical context to the medical curriculum, ensuring the integration of biomedical science in a clinical context for the students' learning in the first and second years of Medical School. Secondary to this, Academic Teaching Fellows may be required to participate in a variety of tasks as opportunities arise.
