Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated part time Deputy Manager to join our busy day care facility supporting people living with dementia and their carers.
Responsibilities
* This role involves a combination of leadership, operational and administrative tasks.
* Supervise and support staff members, providing guidance and leadership to promote effective teamwork.
* To support the Manager in overseeing daily operations, decision making, planning and strategic development
* Source and participate in all training and development to enhance team skills and performance.
* Ensure compliance with service standards, safety procedures and legal requirements
* Stand in for manager when absent from the Service
Requirements
* Good understanding of budgeting, expense tracking and contributing to cost control and financial stability
* Must be proficient in Microsoft package, Word and Excel
* Strong leadership and motivational skills are essential
* Excellent leadership qualities with strong communication skills
* The ability to analyse situations, identify solutions and make sound decisions is important
* Having a personable and compassionate approach towards individuals ensuring their dignity is upheld at all times.
* Efficiently managing multiple tasks and prioritising responsibilities is key
* Previous experience in leadership and/or management (SVQ4 in care and/or management)
* Supervisory and Team leading skills as position will require to carry out supervision/appraisals of staff
* Previous experience working in care would be advantageous
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 22.5 per week
